DE MINIMIS EXEMPTIONS (Must Meet 1298):
There are no exemptions in the district rules.
MINOR SOURCE PERMITTING:
Every source must apply for a permit, but the permitting authority will determine whether the unit will have a
significant air quality impact. Modeling will be completed by the permitting department and any necessary controls
will be determined based on the results. Sources with emissions greater than 2,500 pounds per day of CO or 250
of any other criteria pollutants triggers BACT. There is no official BACT cost threshold established and no specific
examples of required technologies were available. Beyond BACT requirements there are no specific emission requirements
in the district rules. All other requirements will be determined on a case by case basis.
The entire permitting process can take from 1 day to 1 year as there is only one staff person to handle all
permits.
TREATMENT OF EMERGENCY ENGINES:
There is no special treatment for emergency engines.
