DE MINIMIS EXEMPTIONS (Must Meet 1298):
There are not permitting exemptions. Sources may be exempted at the discretion of the air permitting authority.
MINOR SOURCE PERMITTING:
The district has a 0.2% or 2000 ppm fuel sulfur limit, a 20% opacity limit and PM is limited to 0.1 grains per
cubic foot.
The permitting process can take up to 180 days, but it is likely to be completed in a much shorter time period.
TREATMENT OF EMERGENCY ENGINES:
Emergency units are permitted normally, but are likely to be exempted if they agree to limit maintenance hours
to 50 hours per year.
