AIR EMISSIONS REGULATIONS:
DE MINIMIS EXEMPTIONS (Must meet 1298) There are no specific exemptions in the rules. Permitting officials may exempt a unit at their discretion and will generally do so if a unit has a potential to emit less than 1 ton per year of all criteria pollutants.A minor source permit will include operating and/or fuel use limits to insure that a source remains minor. The district does not required BACT, but will enforce a 20% opacity limitation and a PM limit of 0.1 grains per cubic foot. Additional limitations may be required based on ambient impact testing. The department has 180 days to complete the permitting process. Emergency engines are permitted normally and are likely to have an hourly limit based on an ambient impact analysis. |
