AIR EMISSIONS REGULATIONS:
DE MINIMIS EXEMPTIONS (Must meet 1298) There are no permitting exemptions available. The district does not have any rules for addressing these units. Officials won't require offsets, but BACT level of controls are very likely at 150 pounds of NOx per day. Permitting officials feel that there is so much geothermal power available in the area that other types of generators are very unlikely.TREATMENT OF EMERGENCY ENGINES Emergency units will likely be given an hourly limit, but there are no official regulations established. CARB Air Toxic Control Measures for Stationary Compression Engines apply (see the CA state page for more information). |
