AIR EMISSIONS REGULATIONS:
DE MINIMIS EXEMPTIONS (Must meet 1298) A unit smaller than 1,000 cubic inches burning diesel or gasoline or any size unit burning natural gas or liquid petroleum gas is exempt from permitting if it does not trigger the Title V threshold. The district does not have any regulations that limit emissions. The permitting process begins with a submission of a form called an "Authority to Construct." This document would contain a description of the proposed unit, its emissions and any controls that would be used. District officials will then approve the application or make recommendations on a case-by-case basis.TREATMENT OF EMERGENCY ENGINES The District has no emergency generator permitting requirements listed. CARB Air Toxic Control Measures for Stationary Compression Engines (http://www.arb.ca.gov/regact/statde05/statde05.htm) typically apply (see the CA state page for more information). |
